Meooow!: Tokyo Shinagawa-ku

Meooow is a rescue-cat cafe, so all the cats here are adoptable, and indeed there are two portrait galleries on the cafe wall, one for current residents and one for previous graduates. Located in the middle of a residential neighborhood, the cafe seems to be patronized mostly by local-area visitors who know the resident cats by name.

There's a large contingent of kittens and younger cats here, which raises the energy level quite a bit. Generally speaking the cats are friendly and playful, engaging with visitors and chasing each other around the room. The playroom is relatively small, with most seating on the floor, although there is one small table with a couple of chairs.

One of the window areas is screened in, so cats can go outside on the "catio" to get some fresh air and keep watch over the neighborhood. The admission fee includes one drink from their menu of canned coffees, bottled teas and sodas. Unlike many other cafes, there's only a very limited manga library here - it's all about the cats.
