xx Ohisama: Tokyo Shimo-Kitazawa

[Update: closed] More spacious than the average rabbit cafe, Ohisama is divided into a glassed-in play area, where you can feed and pet the bunnies, and a couple of different lounge areas where you can relax over a cup of coffee and peruse rabbit-related manga and other literature.

Inside the play area, one wall is lined with seats while the opposite wall is stacked with cages for some two dozen rabbits of various breeds and sizes. Generally only two or three rabbits are running around outside their cages at any given time. If you want to make friends more quickly, rabbit snacks consisting of dried vegetables are available for Y100.

Ohisama is unusual among animal cafes in that they serve full meals as well as drinks. Y2300 will get you a pasta dish, salad, small dessert and drink, plus ninety minutes of rabbit time. If you just want coffee or juice, the cover charge is Y1000 for 30 minutes or Y1400 for 60 minutes (price includes one drink).
