This compact two-layer Japanese bento box is great for carrying snacks to school, to the office or on a car trip. Traditionally the bottom layer is filled with rice while the top layer contains a main dish, but you can substitute anything from tuna salad and fresh vegetables to macaroni and meatballs.

The layers snap together and seal tightly, and can be collapsed into a smaller size when empty. The individual boxes are microwave-safe (remove the lids first) and easy to clean.
